Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust Announces Quarterly Dividend

Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust (NYSE: PEI) announced today that its Board of Trustees has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.15 per common share. The dividend will be paid on June 15, 2009 to common shareholders of record on June 1, 2009.

Ronald Rubin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, said, “Given the unprecedented condition of the economy and the capital markets, we have adjusted the level of the distribution based on our current estimate of 2009’s ordinary taxable income. This decision is consistent with our strategy to preserve liquidity.”
