Missy Burton Partners with Sanaa Technologies to Unveil a Stunning Augmented Reality Photographic Series at the African American Museum of Dallas

Missy Burton, an award-winning photographer has partnered with Sanaa Technologies to enable her portraits with augmented reality (AR).

MCKINNEY, Texas - April 13, 2021 - PRLog -- Missy Burton, an award-winning photographer recently unveiled her latest photographic series at the African American Museum of Dallas. The exhibit is entitled, "Dynasty: The Peculiar Search for Totality" and it features photography, poetry, history, and augmented reality to tell the story of one family's ancestral journey to freedom.

"My inspiration comes from my perception of the effects of social influences on human rights.  It is often described as emotional, edgy & audacious.  I invite the viewer to approach my photographs with curiosity and be open to a strong connection with these images and the stories behind them," says Missy Burton.

Burton brings her images to life using Sanaa, an app created by Gregg Young. Sanaa, Swahili for 'Art' or more specifically a "work of beauty" uses augmented reality technology to bring art to life and create an immersive user experience.

Missy Burton is the Co-Founder of Msanii HOUS Fine Art and her work is in the permanent collection of the African American Museum of Dallas and multiple private collections.  Burton currently lives and works in Dallas, TX, and is passionate about mentoring emerging artists.

"Dynasty: The Peculiar Search for Totality" is currently on view at the African American Museum of Dallas through June 12th.  The museum is located at 3536 Grand Ave, Dallas, TX 75210, and the operating hours are Tues-Friday-Saturday 12:00-5:00 PM. COVID guidelines are in place and will be followed.
