Globe-Trotting Solar Entrepreneur Brings Off-Grid System Innovations to NUE as New Vice-President of Product Development

By: PRLog

PHOENIX - March 24, 2021 - PRLog -- Solar Industry veteran Eric Youngren, has sold his innovative SolarNexus system designs and joined New Use Energy Solutions Inc. (NUE) as Vice-President of Product Development.

"For over 20 years, I've been designing, installing and consulting about solar and off-grid power systems," said Youngren from his microhydro and solar powered off-grid home on Orcas Island in Washington State.

"I'm thrilled to be joining the team at NUE and to have my SolarNexus design acquired by NUE.  NUE's  pre-integrated system approach will build on my experience designing and manufacturing off-grid systems with Solar Nexus International (SNI).  Pre-wired SolarNexus systems have been powering lights, computers and mobile phone chargers in over 1,200 public schools and health clinics in Tanzania and Kenya since 2012, as well as in homes and other facilities around the world.  The new integrated off-grid power system products from NUE will incorporate design innovations and lessons learned from those years of experience and thousands of successfully installed and currently operational projects."

"Eric joins our dynamic, multinational management team dedicated to advancing our game-changing approach to affordable portable power," said Paul Shmotolokha, NUE's CEO."  Our goal is to replace dirty, dangerous and often deafening, fuel-guzzling generators with our clean, quiet, solar-powered generators that feature lithium battery technology instead of the old-style bulky lead-acid batteries."

NUE engineers and manufactures affordable solar+battery systems which replace traditional fossil fuel alternatives such as portable generators. NUE's business model has two key aspects: 1) Integrated energy systems, such as its SunKit™ product line, and 2) New and repurposed lithium battery packs and other energy system components. NUE emphasizes mobility as well as field serviceability to maximize the usable life of our products. Advantages of NUE's products include SPEED of deployment, SIMPLICITY of the technology and SUSTAINABILITY of the solution.

NUE's customers include remote communities unserved or underserved by utilities, communities impacted by natural disasters and businesses or individuals seeking a clean, quiet and secure source of remote or emergency power. NUE has a strategic relationship with the nonprofit, Footprint Project, whose mission is to help communities affected by disasters build back greener by powering relief and recovery operations using solar energy.
