American Water CEO Susan Story Set to Speak at 2018 MARC Annual Meeting

American Water (NYSE: AWK), the nation’s largest publicly-traded water and wastewater utility company, today announced President and Chief Executive Officer Susan Story will participate in the 2018 Mid-America Regulatory Conference (MARC) annual meeting from June 4 – 6 in Kansas City, Mo.

On Monday, June 4, Story will participate in the MARC CEO Keynote Panel – “What’s Our Game Plan?” She will provide her unique perspective on the greatest perceived challenges and opportunities facing regulated utility companies in the next five to ten years. Story will also discuss how American Water is investing in technology to provide a tremendous customer experience and fully engage employees.

On the same day, Dr. Lauren Weinrich, senior scientist at American Water will participate in a panel discussion that will examine some of the problems and possible solutions in the water sector, specifically addressing approaches to integrated resource planning in water utilities, the water-energy nexus concept, and the challenges related to emerging contaminants.
