Banks aim for less self-reporting of potential criminal activity, shifting more regulatory burden to law enforcement

The Clearing House, a trade association representing the largest U.S. banks including Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America, wants to place more of the burden on law enforcement agencies to track criminal activity, thus relieving some of that regulatory burden from firms.
