American Water Hosts Successful Supplier Diversity Workshop

American Water (NYSE: AWK), the nation’s largest publicly traded water and wastewater utility company, announced the company’s market-based subsidiary, American Water Enterprises, recently hosted a Supplier Diversity Workshop in Jackson, Miss.

The event was held for local Minority–owned Business Enterprise (MBE), Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE), Veteran-owned Business Enterprise (VBE), and Service-disabled Veteran-owned Business Enterprise (SDVBE) to network and connect with American Water’s local engineering and operations team and learn about opportunities in water and wastewater management.

The event began with a discussion from American Water on the importance of supplier diversity to the company. Attendees also had the chance to showcase their company and capabilities. The day concluded with breakout sessions, which included one-to-one interviews with American Water’s corporate supply chain.
