ORLANDO, Fla. - March 1, 2016 - PRLog -- Orlando based REBUILD globally moves forward with strong partnerships for its annual fundraiser, Runway To Haiti: A Night of Ethical Fashion.

The big event will take place on March 24, 2016 at the University Club in Downtown Orlando from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm and will feature a runway show with local celebrities showcasing handmade, ethically sourced footwear and accessories from partner company, deux mains designs.  The fashion show will be directed and styled by Winter Park Magazine fashion editor and founder of Stylissima Fashion Consulting Marianne Ilunga with clothing provided by partners Kenneth Cole, Eileen Fisher, Bloomingdales, and The Grove in Winter Park, Florida.

Runway to Haiti will be a night dedicated to raising funds to support the education and employment training programs that REBUILD globally supports in Haiti. The event is endorsed by the United Nations, Kenneth Cole and Mayor Buddy Dyer. Runway models and notable attendees include:

·  Dick Batchelor of Dick Batchelor Management Group

·  Jeanette Johnson of award winning fashion blog J’s Everyday Fashion

·  Amy Kaufeldt from Fox 35 News

Through years of on-the-ground training, REBUILD globally, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, has implemented a long-term solution to ending poverty through an innovative social business model.

REBUILD globally has grown from a modest initiative to, according to a United Nations representative, “one of the most successful projects that the livelihood sector [of the United Nations] has funded in Haiti.”  The REBUILD globally business model has also been recognized by outlets such as the Central Florida Chamber of Commerce, CREDO Social Business Rally Makers, and the Global Nexus.

As a non-profit, REBUILD globally does not exist to give things away. In 2015, Colombino explained her philosophy to the Orlando Sentinel like this: “We have seen the 'giving model' fail multiples times. However, when individuals are empowered with an opportunity for living-wage employment, dignity is restored in families. Children witness their parents succeeding. This is how we will fight generational poverty, one step at a time.”

REBUILD globally (RG) is a registered 501(c)3 based in Orlando, Florida. Founded in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake, RG implements comprehensive training programs with a pipeline to long-term employment.  Investing in the local leadership, RG works alongside the people of Haiti to support a locally owned and operated fashion brand, deux mains designs.
