American Water (NYSE: AWK), the nation’s largest publicly traded water and wastewater utility company, today announced Dr. Mark LeChevallier, director of Innovation & Environmental Stewardship, will participate in the White House Roundtable on Water Innovation in Washington, D.C. on Dec. 15.
LeChevallier will join about 40 other invited thought leaders across industry, academia, and local, state, and federal government to discuss innovations that can meet the challenge of constrained water supply in our communities. This meeting will challenge stakeholders to increase innovation and investments in water technologies.
Later that afternoon, LeChevallier will also participate in a smaller roundtable discussion on water technology and innovation. This discussion is being organized by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy as a focused, companion event to the earlier roundtable. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for a small, cross-sectoral group of experts to further consider how innovative and technology-based solutions can be used to help build a sustainable water future in the United States.
