Convention to host Trayvon Martin's mother, Madonna Badger, and other speakers who will gather to share their intimate journeys with the public, and to offer healing and hope during challenging times.
PRLog - April 7, 2015 - Dr. Martin Luther King’s youngest daughter, Dr. Bernice A. King, will give a keynote speech at the National Grief & Hope Convention 2015, on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at the JW Marriott Grand Ballroom in Indianapolis.
Dr. King faced a number of losses beginning with the assassination of her father when she was just five years-old. Her first speech came at the young age of 17 when she addressed the United Nations in her mother's stead. She has spoken around the world on a number of issues in the years since.
Dr. King has numerous degrees including a B.A. in Psychology, a Masters of Divinity, and a Doctorate of Law Degree from Emory University. She is CEO of The King Center, and also serves on the board of directors of HOPE.
Following her inspirational keynote, Dr. King will share more of her personal journey, take questions from the audience, and lead the Power of One Hope candelight ceremony to promote hope around the world to conclude the three-day convention.
