Yamani Healing to offer holistic wellness destination for Los Árboles Cobá’s eco-conscious residents and the modern traveler
PRLog - Feb. 19, 2015 - TULUM, Mexico -- Yamani Healing, the first integrated eco-design hotel, spa and healing center in the Riviera Maya, today announced a real estate partnership with Los Árboles Cobá, a 1,200 acre master-planned sustainable residential community located in the protected jungle 20 minutes from Tulum, Mexico.

The investment provides Yamani Healing with 48 acres of titled land for its hotel, gourmet restaurant, spa, and healing center as the centerpiece of the ecoluxe lifestyle development Los Árboles Cobá. This is the developer’s third project and includes 420 residential lots and over 1,000 acres of conservation areas. Construction on Yamani Healing’s $12.3 million project is expected to begin in 2015 and is anticipated to be complete within twelve months.

“Our partnership with Yamani Healing is a unique complement to our next generation sustainable community at Los Árboles Cobá and aligns with our primary goal of building a conservation development that is without compromise,” says Greg Schnurr, President of Los Arboles. “We are thrilled to help bring this world class spa and healing center to Los Árboles Coba. Together, we can offer an environmentally superior alternative to traditional subdivisions, exceed expectations of our residents and the local community, and share the beauty and medicinal powers of the sacred jungle with the Riviera Maya’s rapidly growing tourist population.”

One of the fastest growing travel destinations in the world, the Riviera Maya broke records in 2013, attracting 4 million visitors and achieving almost 80% hotel occupancy, according to the Riviera Maya Tourism Promotion Board.

Yamani Healing’s eco-design concept optimizes the use of the land, energy patterns, and natural resources while blending seamlessly with its protected jungle surroundings. The project will utilize solar and wind power, reclaimed and naturally harvested building materials, water reclamation and aquaponic techniques, and composting practices.

The spa and healing center includes three large yoga halls, six cleansing and detoxification rooms, eight alternative healing and spa treatment rooms, as well as far infrared and herbal saunas, a temazcal sweat lodge, and a nature-influenced swimming pool. With occupancy for 100 guests, Yamani’s hotel consists of 10 suites, 30 deluxe rooms, and 8 standard rooms. Naturally-sourced water features, including cenote-inspired pools, will be placed throughout the site and adjacent to walking paths, guiding guests through the jungle to the dedicated areas of healing, yoga practice, gardening and harvesting, detoxification, healthy dining, and relaxation. Yamani’s gourmet restaurant will provide organic garden-to-table vegetarian meals prepared by an industry-renowned chef, with an accompanying juice bar and raw café offering specialized detox menus.

“Designing Yamani Healing as the centerpiece of Los Arboles Cobá, which has been successfully developing eco-friendly solutions for over 10 years, ensures the success of the healing brand, carving the way for Yamani to impact the global marketplace,” says Nathan Stevenson, partner of Yamani Healing. “Our goal is to be the first zero carbon (or carbon neutral) resort and destination spa in Mexico and one of the largest dedicated green wellness communities in the world.”
