American Water’s Paul Gagliardo to Participate in Sustain Summit

American Water (NYSE: AWK), the nation’s largest publicly traded water and wastewater utility company, today announced Paul Gagliardo, manager of Innovation Development, will participate in the Sustain Summit in Newport Beach, Calif. on Feb.12, 2015.

Gagliardo will join with other leaders on a panel titled “The Emergence of the Circular Economy.” Severe droughts, accumulating waste problems and resource constraints across the globe are sparking corporations and investors to seek out solutions that can solve the nexus of water/waste/resource related issues, as major investment is being made into infrastructure to meet the consumption needs of a growing global population increasingly moving into cities, along with greater regulatory oversight.

Gagliardo will explore the key water, waste and resource issues being faced by American Water today, and will examine how the company is tackling these issues through investments, partnerships and conservation measures as they attempt to “close the loop.”
