Ignacio Gonzalez Nuñez Appointed VP of Business Development and Regulatory Strategy of Eutelsat Americas

Eutelsat Americas, a subsidiary of Eutelsat Communications (Paris:ETL) (NYSE Euronext Paris: ETL), announces the appointment of Ignacio Gonzalez Nuñez as VP of Business Development and Regulatory Strategy.

Ignacio has more than 20 years of international experience in the telecommunications and space sectors, having filled technical, commercial and business development positions at Eutelsat, Hispasat and the European Space Agency. He also served as a member of the Board of the European Satellite Operators Association (ESOA) from 2007 to 2014.

Ignacio joined Eutelsat Americas this month from Eutelsat in Paris where he has been for over 10 years, most recently as Chief Risk Officer and a member of the Management Committee since 2008.

Commenting on his appointment, Patricio Northland, CEO of Eutelsat Americas, said: “I am delighted to welcome Ignacio on our team. His insight and proven track record strengthens us during a new stage in our development, and will contribute to our continued expansion in the Americas.”

Ignacio is a graduate in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and holds a Master of Science with Honors in Aerospace Technology and Satellite Communications from the University College of London as well as a Master of Business Administration from the IE Business School in Madrid and in Marketing from INSEAD.
