By: PRLog
“Small companies with big ideas” are able to present their capabilities on the world aerospace stage alongside the most powerful global corporations, thanks to the support from U.S. State Pavilions in the U.S. International Pavilion.
PRLog - May 19, 2014 - WALDWICK, N.J. -- The largest gathering of the world aerospace community will discover American technology and quality from more than 230 companies in the U.S. International Pavilion at the Farnborough International Airshow July 14-20, 2014 in Farnborough, England.

The U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Matthew Barzun, is scheduled to officially open the U.S. Pavilion. He is expected to then meet U.S. Pavilion exhibitors while touring the 7,500+ sqm pavilion spanning Halls 3 and 4. The U.S. Pavilion comprises companies representing 30 states from the USA, from Florida to Washington.

Along with the advice and assistance of Kallman Worldwide Inc. staff, who organizes the U.S. Pavilion, smaller companies get extra support from U.S. State Pavilions. The state groups typically come to attract investment and to help their SMEs secure new export sales. Two pavilions at Farnborough are:

WASHINGTON STATE

Governor of Washington Jay Inslee is expected to lead some 20 companies in his state’s pavilion inside the U.S. International Pavilion at Farnborough this July.

“In 2013, 98% of all Boeing commercial airplane deliveries were produced in Washington State and we will soon be home to the 737 MAX and 777X,” said Alex Pietsch, director of the state’s office of aerospace. “Our robust aerospace sector includes a deep supply chain for Boeing, Airbus and other commercial airframers, as well as companies that are expanding in to emerging sectors such as unmanned systems, commercial space exploration, advanced materials, and aviation biofuels.”

With 1,350 aerospace establishments in Washington, the state group has attended Farnborough for many years. They also exhibit at other international aerospace shows including the Paris Air Show. Hoping to build on the 777X momentum, Washington State’s will have its largest presence ever at Farnborough in 2014.

Pietsch’s goals for the pavilion are simple: “We hope to build on our strong relationships with the large number of international companies that already have a presence in Washington State and open the eyes of those who aren’t here to what our state has to offer as the global aerospace leader

ARKANSAS

Aviation is the No. 1 export of Arkansas; their first foray into international aerospace exhibiting will be Farnborough.

Three companies are expected to attend, along with Governor Mike Beebe, representatives from three airports, the Arkansas World Trade Center and the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC).

Lehnka Horakova, the AEDC’s global product manager for Europe, said “We are looking to return to Arkansas with new partners and distributors, appointments with European purchasing agents, an understanding of the needs of this region and a clearer picture of what you need to do to best serve this market—and lots of local business cards.”
