California American Water to host meter retrofit event in Parkway

California American Water has completed a $40-million project to install water meters at 42,740 homes in the company’s 10 Sacramento area water systems as state law requires. The company will be holding a press conference and celebration at a Parkway community member’s residence to celebrate the last of the meter installations in the neighborhood. The celebration will be attended by invited guests from the community, including Supervisor Jimmie Yee, state and local elected officials and representatives from environmental organizations and water utilities.
