Citibank Rolls Out New ThankYou Rewards Program for Small Business

In another way to enhance the banking experience, Citibank today announced the launch of the Citi ThankYou® Rewards for Small Business, where small business owners can combine ThankYou Points earned from their personal and business accounts.

“For many small business owners, their life is their business and their business is their life,” said Maria Veltre, Managing Director, Small Business. “In listening to our small business clients, it became clear that they want to earn rewards for things they do every day for their personal lives and business, such as using cash management services, making credit card purchases or having a small business loan. By making Citi’s proprietary ThankYou loyalty program available to these clients, we are providing the most value to their banking relationship. ”

Citi ThankYou Rewards for Small Business allows eligible business customers to earn and redeem ThankYou Points for their checking relationship as well as other business products and services they have with Citibank.

To qualify, customers must have a CitiBusiness® Streamlined Checking or CitiBusiness Flexible Checking account. To earn monthly ThankYou Points, customers must perform two CitiBusiness Online Bill Payments or have two checks paid each month (or any combination). Small business owners will also be able to combine all their ThankYou Points earned from eligible Citi credit card, consumer and small business banking accounts.

“Points will add up faster and the ThankYou Points can be redeemed for everything from gift cards to travel to electronics,” said Veltre. “This is just another way we can reward our small business customers for choosing Citibank. At Citibank, small businesses are a big deal.”

The new Small Business ThankYou rewards program is based on extensive research which found that small business owners value receiving reward points for doing everyday business banking. Small business owners also value the ease of earning, combining and redeeming ThankYou Points, particularly if the rewards come from services that meet either their business or personal needs.

During the promotion period, which runs from today through June 30, Citibank offers 40,000 ThankYou Points – redeemable for up to $400 in gift cards – when a new customer opens a CitiBusiness Streamlined or Flexible checking account along with a cash management product or financing solution. Qualifying services for the bonus ThankYou Points include: Cash Management Products (CitiBusiness Payroll Manager, Citi® Merchant Services, Remote Check Deposit, and ACH Origination) and Credit Products (Business Credit Account, Business Installment Loan).
