California American Water Appoints New Diverse Procurement Manager

California American Water has appointed Dhana “Holley” Joy as its new Supplier Diversity Manager. Holley brings more than two decades of supply and customer service experience to the job.

She will be charged with expanding outreach to diverse vendors in the state as well as boosting overall procurement with them throughout the company’s supply chain. She will be based in the company’s Coronado headquarters.

In 1988, the CPUC passed General Order 156, outlining the relationship between utilities and diverse suppliers and establishing goals for participation for investor-owned water companies. The appointment of Holley Joy will allow California American Water to continue to expand its leadership in supplier diversity.

“Holley brings with her more than 20 years of successful leadership in procurement and supply operations,” said California American Water president Rob MacLean. “I look forward to the positive results that her extensive industry experience will bring to our ambitious and diverse procurement program here.”

Holley most recently served as a contract manager for a major supplier clearing house in Los Angeles. Before that, she was director of operations and business development for SMS Transportation services in Riverside.

She has a degree in business administration from LaVerne University in California.
