American Water’s John Young to Speak at Singapore International Water Week

American Water (NYSE: AWK), the largest investor-owned U.S. water and wastewater utility company, today announced that John Young, chief water technology officer and president of American Water Works Service Company, is speaking as an industry expert during Singapore International Water Week 2010. The conference is being held June 28 through July 2.

Young will discuss the role of private utilities in addressing North America’s water and wastewater challenges, during the Americas Business Forum portion of the conference.

The Singapore International Water Week is the global platform that brings policymakers, industry leaders, experts and practitioners together to address challenges, showcase technologies, discover opportunities and celebrate achievements in the water world. Themed Sustainable Cities: Clean and Affordable Water, the Singapore International Water Week 2010 will focus on the need for efficiency and cost effective solutions to address water problems amidst a constantly changing environment.
