Morgenbesser Will Remain Of Counsel to Firm
Katzke Miller & Morgenbesser LLP, the New York-based executive compensation boutique, today announced that Co-Founder and Partner Henry I. Morgenbesser has retired from active practice with the law firm as of January 1, 2026. Morgenbesser will remain Of Counsel to the firm.
Henry Morgenbesser and Michael Katzke co-founded the firm in 2013 to provide corporate senior management with independent legal advice in complex compensation-related matters. In the 12+ years since, the firm has been involved in dozens of multibillion dollar M&A transactions and has represented the CEOs and senior executives of some of the biggest companies in the world.
“Henry has been a terrific partner since day one,” Co-Founder Michael Katzke remarked. “We would not be where we are today without his insight, thoughtfulness and dedication. I could not have envisioned a better person than Henry with whom to create and build such a successful legal practice.”
“With top-tier lawyers primarily focused on representing executives in their individual capacities, we have built a high-end, niche practice in a critical area of law,” said Morgenbesser. “Looking back, it’s remarkable how much we have accomplished, all in a collegial, small-firm setting.”
“I have really enjoyed partnering with Henry,” said Josh Miller, who was elevated to named partner in June 2025. “Henry is a great colleague and has taught me so much about how to grow a boutique practice focused on expertly representing elite executives at key moments in their careers.”
“I am confident that Michael and Josh will continue to build upon all that we have achieved together,” Morgenbesser added.
