Ryder’s annual workplace giving campaign raises $1.17 million to benefit United Way agencies throughout the United States.
This year’s workplace giving campaign, themed “Provide Lasting Help, Right HERE,” united Ryder employees across the U.S. through five days of virtual and in-person fundraising activities, reflecting the company’s culture of giving back and service. The theme highlighted the United Way mission to elevate lives through initiatives in Health & Wellbeing, Education, Resilient Communities, and Economic Mobility.
“Each year, Ryder employees go above and beyond in their support for United Way’s mission,” says Robert Sanchez, Ryder Chairman and CEO and past chairman of the board for United Way Miami. “This record-breaking milestone reflects our employees’ commitment to helping others and building stronger communities. I am grateful to everyone who contributed, as this milestone reflects the compassion and drive our people bring to every cause.”
The contributions empower United Way chapters across the country to meet local needs by expanding access to quality education, healthcare, and financial resources, and by building stronger, more resilient communities where Ryder employees also live and work.
“For more than forty years, Ryder and United Way have stood together in the belief that every person deserves hope and opportunity,” says Symeria Hudson, president and CEO of United Way Miami, where Ryder is headquartered. “This record-setting donation not only reflects Ryder’s ongoing dedication to philanthropy and community-building, but also demonstrates how philanthropic leadership inspires Ryder employees everywhere. With more than 1,000 United Way locations nationwide, their collective generosity multiplies our impact and helps families overcome real challenges. Ryder’s people are truly helping to transform lives.”
The 2025 campaign was led by Ryder CFO Cristina Gallo-Aquino, who served as this year’s campaign chair.
“It’s remarkable to see how Ryder employees step up year after year to support the United Way and its vast network of local nonprofit organizations,” says Cristina Gallo-Aquino, Ryder’s CFO and 2025 campaign chair. “United Way partners with agencies that deliver critical services—everything from early education and emergency assistance to workforce development and financial resiliency programs. Our employees’ generosity helps strengthen those organizations and creates meaningful, measurable impact in communities across the country. I’m grateful and extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished together.”
