The Board of Directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh (FHLBank) has approved $61.3 million in awarded grants under FHLBank’s Affordable Housing Program (AHP) and $28.9 million through the voluntary housing grant initiative. These grants will help finance 75 housing projects and create 1,823 homes for very low-, low-, and moderate-income individuals and families.
The 53 rental and 22 homeownership projects approved for funding will serve community members of varying needs, including people experiencing homelessness, individuals with disabilities, youth aging out of foster care, military veterans and seniors.
“Creating affordable housing supply has been a long-standing priority for FHLBank and our members. I'm proud of our cooperative's ability, this year, to provide $90.2 million supporting more than 1,800 affordable homes,” said David G. Paulson, President and Chief Executive Officer. “Our 2025 commitment to housing stability includes a voluntary contribution of nearly $30 million in addition to our statutory AHP.”
Local organizations partnered with 30 member institutions to support the 75 projects receiving AHP and voluntary housing grant initiative funding. A complete list of the 2025 AHP and voluntary housing grant initiative awards can be found at www.fhlb-pgh.com/ahp.
