Harbor Capital Advisors Extends Strategic Partnership with C WorldWide Asset Management

Harbor Capital Advisors, Inc. ("Harbor"), the asset manager that curates a select suite of actively managed ETFs, mutual funds, and collective investment trusts has extended its strategic partnership with C WorldWide Asset Management by launching the Harbor International Compounders Fund. (Ticker: HSICX).

The Harbor International Compounders Fund (HSICX) will pursue an actively managed strategy that seeks long-term growth of capital and invests primarily in equity securities of non-U.S. companies, including those located in emerging market countries.

C WorldWide’s experienced investment team seeks to identify what they believe to be high-quality companies with consistent, recurring revenues, stable free cash flows, and sustainable returns on invested capital. In seeking to identify those companies for the Fund’s portfolio, the investment team conducts qualitative assessments of companies, including, among other criteria, each company’s business model, management, and financial and valuation metrics.

“We believe C WorldWide provides overseas expertise that our clients can rely on. After the successful launch of the Harbor International Compounders ETF (OSEA) in 2022, we wanted to extend Harbor’s and C WorldWide’s reach to more clients in the United States whom we believe need that same expertise in the form of a mutual fund,” said Kristof Gleich, President and CIO at Harbor Capital Advisors. “As we also have this compelling strategy for retirement plans, we are delighted to round out this offering with an investment manager with whom we have been working at the highest level for clients since 1986,” Gleich continued.

“We’re excited to continue to add expertise in overseas investing to Harbor Capital’s strategic investment solutions,” said Bo Knudsen, CEO at C WorldWide. “Being part of their distribution ecosystem, we are excited to be able to provide more clients with our compelling, concentrated, and thematic long-term investment process.”

The active, concentrated Fund is focused on international companies with expected sustainable earnings growth to help drive compounded long-term wealth creation.

All investments involve risk including the possible loss of principal.

There is no guarantee that the investment objective of the Fund will be achieved. Stock markets are volatile and equity values can decline significantly in response to adverse issuer, political, regulatory, market and economic conditions. Investing in international and emerging markets poses special risks, including potentially greater price volatility due to social, political and economic factors, as well as currency exchange rate fluctuations. These risks are more severe for securities of issuers in emerging market regions. A non-diversified Fund may invest a greater percentage of its assets in securities of a single issuer, and/or invest in a relatively small number of issuers, it is more susceptible to risks associated with a single economic, political or regulatory occurrence than a more diversified portfolio.

The Subadviser considers certain ESG factors in evaluating company quality which may result in the selection or exclusion of securities for reasons other than performance and the Fund may underperform relative to other funds that do not consider ESG factors.

ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance investing. Environmental (“E”) factors may include metrics such as climate change and carbon emissions, air and water pollution, biodiversity, water scarcity, among others. Social (“S”) considerations center on human rights, labor standards, data protection and privacy, employee engagement, and more. Governance (“G”) metrics may include Board composition, executive compensation and incentives, bribery and corruption, and more. Investors are increasingly applying these non-financial factors as part of their analysis process to identify material risks and growth opportunities.
