900 Link Logistics Employees Volunteer to Fight Childhood Hunger on Third Annual CoreGiving Day

CoreGiving Day unites 2,400 volunteers making more than 800,000 meals accessible across 60+ cities

Link Logistics, the owner and operator of the largest U.S.-only portfolio of logistics real estate, joined CoreGiving, a nonprofit organization founded to fight childhood hunger across the U.S., for the third annual CoreGiving Day on Thursday, October 5, 2023. This year’s event saw more than 2,400 employees from Blackstone and 16 of its real estate portfolio companies donate their time to support local food banks in over 60 cities, making more than 800,000 meals accessible for neighbors in need.

As part of this effort, nearly 900 Link Logistics employees donated more than 3,500 hours to fight childhood hunger.

“I am consistently impressed by our team at Link Logistics and their commitment to combat food insecurity,” said Luke J. Petherbridge, chairman and co-founder of CoreGiving and chief executive officer of Link Logistics. “Since its inception, CoreGiving has provided more than 35 million meals to children in need—above and beyond what we envisioned when establishing the nonprofit. With each passing year, my pride in what we achieve continues to grow, and I can’t wait to see how our impact continues to expand in 2024.”

To date in 2023, CoreGiving has raised funds to provide more than 14.4 million meals to children and families through partnerships with 75 hunger-relief organizations in 24 states.

"Our food bank partners rely on our funding and volunteer support to nourish millions of children and families across the country,” said Bridget O'Connell, executive director of CoreGiving. “With 75 percent of Link Logistics employees financially supporting our mission and more than 85 percent volunteering in this year’s CoreGiving Day, their generosity is greatly appreciated and very impactful to our vision of providing children with the nourishment essential for their well-being.”
