On October 5, 2010, Emerson Electric Co. announced that Chief Operating Officer Edward L. Monser, 60, was named to the additional position of president. Mr. Monser has served as chief operating officer of Emerson since November 2001. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David N. Farr, 55, had held the title of president since 2005.
A copy of the October 5, 2010 press release announcing Mr. Monser’s election is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
