United Insurance Holdings Corp. (the "Company") is unable, without unreasonable effort or expense, to file its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2017 ("Annual Report") within the prescribed time period. The Company requires additional time to complete certain schedules and analysis, and further, to allow the Company's independent registered public accounting firm to complete their audit of such items.

The Company expects to file its Annual Report within the prescribed 15-day extension allowed pursuant to Rule 12b-25.
