GOL Receives Authorization to Fly to Chile

São Paulo, April 26, 2006 – GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (Bovespa: GOLL4 and NYSE: GOL), Brazil’s low-cost, low-fare airline, today announced it has received authorization from the International Relations Department of the ANAC (National Agency of Civil Aviation) to operate regular flights to Santiago de Chile. With this authorization, the Company will begin taking the necessary steps to operate on this new route.

The ANAC has authorized GOL to operate 21 regular flights per week to Santiago, with the modern Boeing 737-800, an aircraft with a seat capacity of 177. "With a strong economy and high potential for growth, Chile is a strategic destination in GOL’s plan to integrate the economies of South America,” says Tarcísio Gargioni, Vice President of Marketing and Services of GOL. “This authorization, in addition to the six international destinations GOL already serves, will further extend the popularization of air transportation to our South American neighbors, generating more business opportunities and bringing advantages to our customers.”

Chile’s population is approximately 14 million. In 2005, its GDP grew 6.3%, the highest rate level since 1997, and one of the highest growth rates in Latin America last year.
