Future Business and Management Plans

For the purpose of securing new sources of income by diversifying its businesses, Kookmin Bank (the “Bank”) is reviewing the establishment of a new securities company, as well as the acquisition of an existing securities company, in pursuit of a possible entry into the securities business. The Bank will also review the feasibility of a possible acquisition of a non-life insurance company in the mid- to long-term, although no specific decision has been made as of the date hereof.

The above information was disclosed by Ki Hong Kim, Chief Executive Vice President of the Bank, in an informal meeting with press held on September 12, 2007.

The aforementioned is subject to change as it constitutes future plans.
