On May 20, 2005, City Holding Company (the "Company") completed its acquisition of Classic Bancshares, Inc. On the same day, Classic Bancshares' affiliate, Classic Bank, was merged with and into the Company's affiliate, City National Bank of West Virginia. Furnished as Exhibit 99 and incorporated herein by reference is the news release issued by the Company.
