Departure of Directors or Certain officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

In a letter to the Chairman of the Board of Directors dated November 5, 2009, Gary L. Hong resigned as a member of the Board of Directors of United Security Bancshares (the “Company”), and United Security Bank (the “Bank”) to pursue other interests. The resignation was accepted by the Board of Directors on November 24, 2009. Mr. Hong’s resignation is not in connection with any known disagreement with the Company or the Bank. Mr. Hong’s membership on the Company’s Asset/Liability Committee also ceased upon his resignation.
