EXPLANATORY NOTE

On August 15, 2007, it was reported that Lynne Silverstein will not serve as the Executive Vice President and Secretary of Patient Safety Technologies, Inc. (the “Company”) and that David Augustine, a Director of the Company, will serve as Secretary in her place.

The Company hereby amends the Current Report on Form 8-K to state that Lynne Silverstein will remain as Secretary of the Company.
