On March 8, 2007, Direct General Corporation (the “Company”) issued the press release attached as Exhibit 99.1. The press release announced that the shareholders of the Company voted to approve the Agreement and Plan of Merger dated as of December 4, 2006, by and among Elara Holdings, Inc. and Elara Merger Corporation and the transactions contemplated thereby at a special meeting of shareholders held on March 8, 2007.
