Golden Paper Identifies Global Growth in Packaging Papers and Upgrades Its High-End Production Capacity

By: PRLog
Accelerating high-value-added product expansion to meet e-commerce and sustainable packaging demand

SHANGHAI - Dec. 17, 2025 - PRLog -- Recent global industry data shows that demand for packaging and specialty packaging papers continues to grow despite a soft overall market. According to the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA), U.S. shipments of packaging and specialty grades rose 9% year-over-year in October 2025, while printing and writing paper shipments fell 14% due to digitalization. This contrast highlights a clear market divergence.

Responding to these trends, Golden Paper Group announced the strategic commissioning of its two core production lines, PM03 and PM05. The PM03 line focuses on high-end food packaging papers with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons, while PM05 specializes in high-strength kraft paper with a 300,000-ton annual capacity. Together, the two lines provide 500,000 tons of new yearly output, strengthening the company's presence in the global premium packaging market.

Frank, a senior company representative, noted: "We are closely monitoring the strong demand for packaging papers, especially high-performance specialty grades. This momentum is driven by global e-commerce expansion and brands' increasing need for sustainable packaging. With PM03 and PM05 fully operational, we can deliver more specialized and scalable production, ensuring faster response to diverse international market needs."

Golden Paper's strategy aligns with movements among global industry leaders. For example, Mondi, a major European packaging group, recently launched a new kraft paper line in the Czech Republic to meet rising demand for high-performance paper packaging in e-commerce and industrial sectors. This demonstrates that upgrading toward value-added and functional packaging materials has become a worldwide trend.

Golden Paper's new production lines are designed specifically for these market shifts.
PM03 uses a fully enclosed pulp preparation system and aseptic coating technology to produce grease-resistant foodboard, baking papers, and other high-end food packaging materials that meet international food-contact standards.
PM05 features intelligent process control to produce 70–150gsm high-strength kraft paper used in e-commerce logistics, eco-friendly shopping bags, and industrial packaging applications.

Beyond strengthening its market competitiveness, these upgrades reflect Golden Paper's commitment to sustainability. By offering recyclable, paper-based packaging solutions, the company aims to help global customers reduce environmental impact across supply chains and promote broader adoption of greener packaging options.
