San Diego, California Feb 11, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Cosmos Helping Cosmos (CHC) has raised over $6K on its Go Fund Me campaign in two months. CHC was created on December 12, 2020, to help direct care services for Cosmetologists in need who have been greatly affected by the shutdowns due to Covid this past year. CHC opened a Go Fund Me account to accept donations to bless cosmetologists and their families financially.
Cosmos Helping Cosmos is committed to fulfilling its mission to support cosmetologists through this unprecedented pandemic and the resulting closures. Financial support is needed now for many beauty industry professionals from hairdressers to nail techs and barbers. Now that doors are open, sadly many salons and shops had to close permanently. Leaving many Cosmos out of work right now.
CHC is pooling resources to help Cosmetologists and their families in urgent need by raising funds through Go Fund Me. CHC has helped over 55 families so far.
Founder of Cosmos Helping Cosmos, Julia Peterson created CHC because she is a hairstylist who very much understands the difficult position these closures have put people in.
"Ten years ago, these shutdowns would have put me in a devastating place financially. I was a single mom with two young kids, living week-to-week and zero savings. I'm not in this situation any longer but have experienced the same fears, lack of access to resources, and inability to provide for my family," said Julia Peterson, founder of CHC. "With so many struggling in the beauty industry and with resources simply not available, I knew it was time to do something. We raise money to give it away."
