EL SEGUNDO, CA, October 20, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Imagine hundreds of invoices automatically being input in your ERP system, approved and paid within a span of just minutes.

That's just one of the Industry 4.0 capabilities available in the newest release of FUJITSU GLOVIA, Inc.'s industry-leading discrete manufacturing ERP solution.

GLOVIA G2 V4 offers enhancements like the digitization of invoices and related documents, real-time factory planning and shop floor control, sales and operation planning and a smart-connected supplier network. It creates a total platform to provide manufacturers with even greater control and insight into their operations, allowing them to realize their Industry 4.0 goals.

The new release gives manufacturers the tools they need to accelerate their digital transformation journey, said CEO Yoshihiro "Zen" Nishi. "We're excited to help our customers realize their vision and achieve a competitive advantage in the digital age."

The expanded suite can inspire customer engagements, allowing manufacturers to deepen and broaden their ties with customers, he said.

Taken together, the updates enhance production efficiency, planning speed and communication, helping companies move forward on their Industry 4.0 journey.

GLOVIA G2 V4 is one component of FUJITSU GLOVIA's multi-pronged solution to helping customers achieve their long-term Industry 4.0 goals. The ERP software pairs well with Fujitsu initiatives like the Quantum-Inspired Computing Digital Annealer, Fujitsu Advanced Image Recognition (F|AIR), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to drive Industry 4.0 innovations.

The newest release of GLOVIA G2 enables the system-wide collaboration among manufacturers, suppliers and customers that is a hallmark of Industry 4.0.

Five modules covering AP Automation, Business Metrics, Barcode Scanning, Machine Integration and Package Handling provide functionality not previously available with GLOVIA G2.

AP Automation provides an out-of-the-box, integrated, automated, digital transformation, digital storage and a paperless authorization solution for suppliers' invoices in GLOVIA G2.

Business Metrics allows the creation of counts, gauges, and conditional formatting of grids from within the GLOVIA G2 application without the need to use Database Management tools.

Barcode Scanning provides GLOVIA G2 customers with 35+ barcode/QR code-based transactions that provide real-time updates to their GLOVIA G2 ERP solution.

Machine Integration provides highly configurable, graphical analysis and assessment capabilities with the visual tools needed to create an instant awareness of impending factors that are likely to impact production and/or quality.

Package Handling offers a solution for those customers that receive, store, manage their inventory, pick, pack and ship items in packages, totes, etc.

Along with several enhancements to existing modules, GLOVIA G2 V4 also offers important technical advancements:
• Compatibility with PostgreSQL databases
• Support of Single Sign-on on deployments using SAML 2.0
• Cloud deployment using AWS
• Significant improvements in GMEAP transactional speeds

Customers have reported great success with GLOVIA G2's latest innovations.

"I remembered the struggle to justify developing barcode scanning to optimize our shop floor with FUJITSU GLOVIA Inc. in mid-2019," said Rommel Bayola, Director of Digital Transformation at AirBorn Corporation. As implementation proceeded, those struggles disappeared.

"A year later, we are presenting Barcode Scanning in Glovia's Virtual Customer Event," Bayola said. "Due to our team's renewed synergy, we can very effectively produce a solution that will not only fit AirBorn's requirements but that will also help other companies with similar Shop Floor optimization challenges."

Bayola attributed their success to the combined efforts of FUJITSU GLOVIA and AirBorn. "FUJITSU GLOVIA's commitment to the success of their customers exceeded expectations. Kudos to GLOVIA and the AirBorn team."
