London, Sep 2, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - World Humanitarian Drive (WHD) is leading an international campaign for the United Nations to declare September 2nd as "World Moral Day". With that in mind, WHD's global campaign for World Moral Day was launched through WHD's Facebook page and other social media accounts on Wednesday, 2nd September 2020.

On this momentous occasion, WHD organized an inspiring online event "Embracing World Moral Day" with guests, speakers, and performers: Ms. Esther Austin (Journalist, Transformational Leader Publisher-Turning Point Magazine), Ms. Kamay Lau (Model, Stylist, Actress (Star Wars-The Phantom Menace), Mr. Alex Davidovskiy (Writer), Dr. Nemi (Spiritual Leader, Educator, Writer and Poet), Cllr. Maria Lovell (Deputy Mayor of Luton, UK), Mr. Jim Osman (Theatre Director and Writer), Mr. Sam Osman (Law Student  and Musician), Ms. Bella Tran (Artist, Actress, and Poet), Mr. Blake Gibbons (Junior Youth Worker Trainee), Hon. Sam Adofo, Mr. Edward Mirza (Operatic Tenor, Figurative Painter and Writer), Mr. Martin Weightman (Director, All Faiths Network), Mr. Euguene Ankomah (International Visual Artist, SG-WHD UK), H.E. Madhav Kumar (former Nepal Prime Minister), and Dr. Abdul Basit Syed (WHD Founder and Chairman).

WHD is an international non-profit charity organization to help humanity and promote peace globally with the head office located in the United Kingdom. WHD's Founder and Chairman, Dr. Abdul Basit Syed, is a Global Peace Activist, Writer and Entrepreneur. He initiated "World Moral Day" a global campaign to emphasize the need of morals and set the pace in getting the support worldwide. He wrote his thoughts and beliefs about the impacts of morals in a book titled "Re-engineering Happiness", in hopes of spreading peace and happiness in the world.

WHD chose 2nd September as World Moral Day in remembrance of the end of the deadliest war in all of human history, World War II (WW II). The main influence of moral value is to make an individual aware and adaptive with society in a positive way. Hence, the end date of the cruelest war of human history will be a reminder to work for peace through the moral mind. Celebrating 2nd September as World Moral Day helps to build moral bonds among nations to strengthen unity and reconcile.  World Moral Day will be a reminder when hatred has fallen down and kindness began to step up in the world once more.

WHD proposed World Moral Day to be celebrated by promoting love, care, harmony, honesty and equality; organizing or giving blood donations; visiting hospitals, care homes, and orphanages; refraining from illicit thoughts and actions; tree planting: oath taking to preserve nature; organizing conferences on international harmony; interfaith peace ceremonies, peace prayers, etc.; do a good deed on the day;  celebrating high values for love for all, hatred for none; art exhibitions promoting moral values. "Morality is the foundation of peace and love in this world," Dr. Abdul Basit Syed mentioned.

For this year's "Embracing World Moral Day" celebration, WHD Bangladesh with Stanford International School organized "Humanitarian Activism on World Moral Day". While WHD India partnered by MDS Events Management Consultants, International Commercial and Cultural Development Forum, Global Skill and Talent Academy, Gilli Chai, Idulit, in collaboration with National Educational Trust organized "Gifting Nature"; tree planting and donating saplings to preserve nature on the account of World Moral Day. To further celebrate this special event, youth of WHD came together to recreate a WHD song "A Morale Mellow", to remind everyone to embrace World Moral Day.
