Leading advisory, tax and assurance firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) appoints Partner Cary Mailandt to lead the firm’s business advisory services practice.
“Cary brings a unique background as a trained engineer with years of experience building teams in management consulting across different industries and disciplines,” Consulting Managing Partner Angela MacPhee said.
In his new role, Mailandt will be responsible for strategy and operations of the growing business advisory services practice which includes transactions advisory services and CFO advisory.

Mailandt joined Baker Tilly in 2019 when Dallas-based accounting and advisory firm Montgomery Coscia Greilich LLP combined with Baker Tilly. He has worked across a number of industries, including manufacturing, technology, healthcare, distribution, retail and hospitality. Prior to joining the firm, Mailandt was vice president of strategy and business development for a roll-up of PE-backed manufacturing and distribution businesses. Before that, Mailandt was a consulting engagement manager at Boston Consulting Group. Prior to Boston Consulting Group, he was with Texas Instruments in a number of engineering, product marketing and sales and distribution management roles. He is based in Dallas
