In order to take some of the burden off of the shoulders of small businesses who are impacted by current events, LightHouse Graphics, in collaboration with Flywheel, will offer free enterprise-level website hosting–a service valued at over $9,000–to a select number of businesses as we weather the storm of this pandemic together.
The founder and CEO of LightHouse Graphics, Josh Wilhelm, made the decision to pay it forward after attending a community night at his local Chick-Fil-A. Overtaken by how quickly the restaurant owners had organized to provide free meals to students and families during school closures, he was motivated to find a way to leverage what he could in order to provide relief to others.
In today’s digital landscape, a strong online presence can be everything to small business–but those hosting services can sometimes come at a premium cost. In a time where businesses are having to make tough decisions regarding their bottom lines, LightHouse would like to ensure that nobody has to sacrifice their web presence in order to stay afloat.
“It’s not the most conventional way to offer help,” says owner and founder, Josh Wilhelm. “Although it’s not offering food or supplies, it is offering what we do best to help mitigate the financial impact that this has on our local community. We hope to inspire other businesses to get creative in their visions of what they can do to help out and spread hope during this time.”
Wilhelm wants other businesses to know that just because they might not be able to provide those around them with an essential service, we can all contribute in some way. The most important takeaway he hopes for others to pull from his company’s efforts is to get creative. Wilhem believes that there is always a way to lend a hand, and we all have a duty to find it during this time.
