Prof Imafidon leads top British students to join HM Queen Elizabeth II to celebrate at Westminster Abbey

UK's brightest students will be led by Professor Chris Imafidon to celebrate with Her Majesty The Queen & other members of The Royal Family at the year's annual celebration of 53 Commonwealth nations. They are from pupils from the ExcellenceinEducation.org.uk (EIE) programme, which devised and implemented a new formula to raise leaders from inner-city youths and children of disadvantaged backgrounds to top university and mentors them to become leaders in their callings. #CommonwealthDay
WESTMINSTER, England - March 12, 2018 - PRLog -- Today, students from the Excellence in Education programme, who have consistently topped the country in national examinations will be led by Professor Chris Imafidon to join Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, Princes,  leaders from across the UK to the celebration of Commonwealth Day at Westminster Abbey. This event is the largest annual multi-faith Service in the UK and is attended by Her Majesty, the Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, senior members of the Royal Family, and other leaders and invited guests.

Excellence in Education programme last year produced the youngest GCSE examination passes at age 6,  The programme pioneered by Professor Chris Imafidon, a world renowned advisor to governments and leaders, and mentors inner-city school pupils and children from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve record-breaking success in sciences, music, sports as well. It has empowered girls to study STEM subjects, these girls are now leading ladies in their various callings and received awards from Her Majesty and recognitions from governments and prestigious institutions.

The Commonwealth Service will be broadcast live on the BBC and will celebrate the 2018 Commonwealth theme of 'Towards a Common Future,' looking forward to The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in London this Spring. The aim of the Service is to celebrate the unity, diversity and linkages of the modern Commonwealth and foster greater understanding of the Commonwealth's achievements and role.

In recent years this event has attracted contributions from Ellie Goulding, Kofi Annan, Sir Richard Branson and Nobel Peace Prize laureates and Malala Yousafzai.

According to Professor Chris Imafidon, Chair of the Excellence in Education programme, "its a privilege to be given such national responsibility to mentor and lead the next generation to discover their genius and flourish as they develop. Its is evident from our work with inner-city pupils that every child is a genius. It is gratifying to note that our unique formula for success can bring out the best in any student. We welcome the opportunity to share this in the commonwealth" The pioneering participant of the programme include Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon, MBE, a leading female scientist and STEM advocate.

THE EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION PROGRAMME
