Salt Artist Creates New Salt Seasoning Blend

PR Log - Jun 19, 2012 - (Corvallis, Oregon) -- Earth & Sea Salts -- Brigitte McBride and Earth & Sea Salts began production of a new sea salt product, Herbs de Provence, made with Celtic Sea Salt® and organic herbs.  This new culinary seasoning is available at http://www.earthandseasalts.com.

This salt seasoning blend is unlike their other gourmet sea salt blends because it is a dry blend, made with organic dried herbs instead of fresh herbs and raw garlic. Also, it doesn’t contain any lemon or lime juice. It is available in a smaller size (4oz.) with a shaker top, making it very convenient and easy to use at the table.  Herbs de Provence is named from the Provence region in France and typically contains savory, basil, thyme, fennel and lavender flowers. Earth & Sea Salts’ version of this contains: summer savory, lemon thyme, fennel, lavender and Light Grey Celtic Sea Salt®.

It is excellent on egg dishes, vegetables, chicken and seafood. For easy and delicious tilapia, put fillets in a buttered baking pan. Then drizzle fresh lemon juice and melted butter on top of fillets. Shake Earth & Sea Salts Herbs de Provence onto tilapia and bake at 325 degrees for about 25 minutes. Serve with rice and steamed broccoli. Bon appetit!
