Austin Meier Joins Team Blue-Emu

Blue-Emu is excited to announce the sponsorship of Professional Bull Rider (PBR) rider Austin Meier. The Oklahoma cowboy is currently ranked in the top five riders in the PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS).

Finishing in the top 10 the past three years in a row, Meier says he’s ready for it to be his year and since he placed second in the world in 2010, he just might be right.

Meier joins the team with fan favorites JB Mauney, Shane Proctor, LJ Jenkins, Luke Snyder, Sean Willingham, Colby Yates and Stormy Wing. Mauney is currently ranked number one in the world, with fellow Team Blue-Emu riders, Meier, Jenkins and Snyder in the top fifteen.

Meier is a seven year veteran of the PBR BFTS and explains he comes from a long line of bull riders. his whole family were all bull riders. "My whole family, my grandpa, cousins, uncles, have all ridden bulls," he said. "I've been doing it since I was still in diapers. I can't say I remember the first time I ever rode. Mutton-busting, probably."

Outside the arena he enjoys hunting and fishing in his hometown of Kinta, Oklahoma. Meier also makes appearances on the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation hunting show “RMEF Team Elk” presented by MidwayUSA.
