This application is a mobile dance companion designed to provide a multi-media learning experience for everyone who is interested in learning how to dance. DanceApp combines dance pattern animations, coaching tips and high-definition videos with the musical content provided by iTunes to accelerate the learning process.
DanceApp was developed by a team of professional dancers, software product developers and amateur dance students to bring the joy of ballroom dancing to dancers everywhere.
“We wanted a product that could be used alone in one’s own home, or with a partner or professional dance instructor to help people learn dance principles and concepts faster,” said CEO Jay Malik. “Dance is an integral part of societies around the world, and provides both social and health related benefits that are invaluable. We had a vision for a dance product that would be affordable and adaptable to people’s learning styles and time commitments.”
Three versions of DanceApp are currently available. The DanceApp – Waltz Starter is sold for $4.99 and has access to all four introductory Waltz patterns. The DanceApp--Tango Starter is sold for $.99. Other dances can be purchased from within these applications. The full DanceApp product delivers the complete collection of six basic ballroom dances (adding Foxtrot, East Coast Swing, Cha Cha and Rumba) and is sold for $19.99.
