What Happened and What Information Was Involved:

Suffolk University is a private research university located in Boston, Massachusetts.

On November 30, 2022, Suffolk University announced that it discovered unauthorized access to their network which occurred on or about July 9, 2022. As part of their investigation, on November 14, 2022, Suffolk University, concluded that certain documents and records were accessed and/or obtained in connection with this incident.

According to information provided to the Office of the Maine Attorney General, the information acquired included:

  • Name or other personal identifier in combination with:
    • Driver’s License Number or Non-Driver Identification Card Number
