Intero Announces New Co-Leadership Roles

Scott Chase and Terry Meyer Will Maintain Continuity of Excellence for Intero

Intero, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate and wholly owned subsidiary of HomeServices of America, Inc. is excited to announce that Terry Meyer has been named co-president to lead the company together with current president Scott Chase.

As co-president, Meyer will expand his focus from the office operations level to the entire company’s operations, while continuing in his leadership roles as managing officer of Intero’s Los Gatos and Saratoga offices and general manager of Intero’s Commercial Division. Chase will continue to focus on growth strategies, partnerships, acquisitions and franchising, in support of revenue generation and agent differentiation. He will also continue to manage the Los Altos and Menlo Park offices.

“For more than 20 years, Intero has been comprised of collaborative leaders who enjoy working together and supporting each other’s strategies,” said Chase. “Our collective experience and our ability to evolve with changes in the market are what allow us to stay ahead of the competition.”

“I agree—our unique culture has been one of our key strengths, allowing us to provide stability and a best-in-class experience to not only our agents and their clients, but also to our office managers and staff across all departments, regardless of what state the market is in,” said Meyer.

Meyer has brokered more than a billion dollars in real estate volume within both the residential and commercial classes since 1986. As an Intero Co-Founder in 2002, Meyer opened Intero’s first San Jose office, located in the Willow Glen area. For more than 25 years, Meyer has served on the board of directors for the MLS and various REALTOR® associations on both the local and state level.

Chase joined Intero in November of 2018 after a successful stint as regional sales manager at Opes Advisors. He held the position of COO for two years before being promoted to president in 2023.

“As Scott and I accept the baton from Brian Crane and step into the opportunities and challenges of 2025, we are deeply committed to continuing the tradition of excellence that has defined Intero since its inception,” said Meyer. “When Intero was first founded, it was on the principle that ‘the Agent is the Customer.’ “

“Together, we are dedicated to honoring the legacy Brian helped create, and guiding Intero to even greater heights,” said Chase.

“What matters most, especially in seas of change, is to have the right people in the right place to help all of our affiliates achieve our goals,” said Gino Blefari, CEO of HomeServices of America and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. “When agents come to Intero, they learn from the best in the business and I am immensely proud of Brian for his accomplishments throughout his remarkable career, and of Scott and Terry for their dedication and collaboration, and their continuing contributions to Intero and the real estate community as a whole.”
