NIC+ZOE, the Boston-based women’s clothing brand, is significantly expanding its offerings by launching two new collections: a denim line and an activewear line. The new ventures will be known as NZ Denim and NZ Active respectively.
Coming off the successful launch of the T-shirt line NZT in 2022, these new projects represent a continuation of the mission that NZT started: to provide women with stylish, elevated-yet-simple pieces for their everyday lives.
The activewear line NZ Active represents years of planning and leadership is thrilled to see years of hard work come to fruition. The collection was born from a need to see activewear truly incorporated into women’s lives and busy schedules. That means NZ Active isn’t just copious technical specs, but stylish pieces that look great for the trips to and from the gym and even on your off days.
“This collection is about more than working up a sweat. We like to think of NZ Active as ‘Lifewear,’” says Creative Director Zoë Chatfield-Taylor. To that effect, the collection also includes elegant outer layers, jackets, and even a poncho—each designed to go with the workout-ready styles underneath.
Another take on stylish casual, NZ Denim promises to add to its immediately evident style with an innovative technical approach. The brand has combined its expertise in yarn spinning techniques with classic denim construction to create jeans with just the right amount of stretch and a buttery soft texture. The brand is launching with three silhouettes (with plans to add more) and five luxe washes. The denim-making process can be resource intensive, but NZ Denim is made with partially recycled materials and uses less water during dying, qualifying every pair for the brand’s own Mindfully Made designation as a more sustainable option.
