MSgt. Boyden serves as test and requirements manager and task lead at Odyssey Systems Consulting Group. In this role, he guides teams responsible for test planning, system evaluation and requirements management. He also recruits skilled personnel, many with military experience, and directs projects that support protection needs in the Air Force and Space Force environments. MSgt. Boyden focuses on building clear plans, assessing risks and ensuring that new facilities and assets receive the security measures required for mission readiness. He leads teams through surveys, design reviews and acceptance testing to ensure systems perform as intended.

Earlier roles at Odyssey Systems included serving as a force protection subject matter expert and managing short-term projects requiring extensive coordination. MSgt. Boyden applied his background as an end user of the systems he now evaluates, which strengthened his ability to identify gaps, guide improvements and support testing teams. Before joining Odyssey, he worked at Oasis Systems as a test and requirements expert and held several leadership roles at Allied Universal. His work included serving as a strategic account manager, branch manager, regional vice president and security manager, during which he oversaw client operations and supervised security personnel across multiple sites.

Master Sgt. Boyden began his leadership journey in the U.S. Army Reserve at age 17 and went on to serve in the U.S. Army, the Army National Guard and the U.S. Air Force. For more than three decades, he advanced to roles in infantry, law enforcement, investigations and security operations. He trained police officers during overseas deployments, led task forces, and managed intelligence and investigative teams. He also guided units to top rankings among U.S. Air Force police organizations in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Making an Impact

Throughout his career, MSgt. Boyden has completed extensive military education and leadership development training through Air University, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Community College of the Air Force, where he earned an Associate of Arts in criminal justice. He has earned numerous recognitions, including the Bronze Star, a Leadership Award for the Combat Leader's Course, the Commandant's Award and multiple honors from Odyssey Systems for outstanding performance. His teams also earned the Hanscom AFB Team of the Year award in 2012.

In his personal life, MSgt. Boyden is the father of five children and values time with his family. He credits his parents for shaping his work ethic and communication skills. He also volunteers in his community through food service and cleanup projects. Looking ahead, he plans to continue strengthening his nine-person testing team and expanding its impact.
