On July 7, 2011 the Company reported on a Current Report on Form 8-K the grant of new equity awards with a grant date of July 1, 2011 to certain of the Company’s named executive officers pursuant to the Marathon Petroleum Corporation Amended and Restated 2011 Incentive Compensation Plan. Within the Current Report on Form 8-K filed on July 7, 2011, the number of new equity awards in the form of Marathon Petroleum Corporation restricted stock granted to J. Michael Wilder was reported as 4,740. In fact, the actual number of shares of Marathon Petroleum Corporation restricted stock granted to J. Michael Wilder on July 1, 2011 was 4,147.
