RESULT OF EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING
Spirent plc (LSE: SPT; NYSE: SPM), a leading communications technology company,
today announces that at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company held
earlier today, a special resolution to approve the cancellation of the Company's
share premium account and capital redemption reserve (the 'Cancellation') was
duly passed.
As previously announced, the Cancellation will enable the elimination of the
deficit in the Company's distributable reserves. Having been approved by
shareholders, the Cancellation is now subject to obtaining an order from the
High Court which the Company expects to seek before the end of the year. The
Cancellation will become effective when the High Court order is registered with
the Registrar of Companies, at which time the Company will issue an announcement
confirming that the Cancellation has become effective.
